I must say, I can relate, and think a lot of people in their 40s+ can.

There are moments in life that turn me into a giggling teenager again — like a compliment from someone I am attracted to. A “girls night out” reminds me of dancing ’til dawn in my 20s — though I usually have to take a nap the next day. Watching Disney princess movies with my daughter brings back moments of magic as we sing all the songs to each other.

Though some people may look upon these reflections with some melancholy of years gone by, I’m actually glad to be the age I am. I’ve experienced a lot of amazing moments in my life and I would not wish to go back.

What’s super cool is that I’m not the only one. As part of the Becci Bookner social media team, I’ve been able to discover some amazing people who are celebrating the vitality and excitement of aging and I’m pleased to introduce them to you:

• The Style Concierge: I love Sybil Henry’s view on life after 40 and how she celebrates it with a style that promotes the beauty and sultriness of the mature woman.
• Boomer Living: Doug Fitzgerald is “an educator, President and Founder of Boomer-Living.com. Interested in social change, and helping baby boomers meet life’s challenges in the 21st Century”, which he does impeccably.

In fact, when District Governor Larry Boyd installed the new Murfreesboro president and board, he announced that Becci will become an assistant governor to work with Rutherford County’s four Rotary Clubs.
